The room was nice with a couch and kitchen area. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good, more than a continential with eggs, sausage and hashbrowns. It wasn't that far of a drive to a shopping area.
We picked this hotel because it advertised a HotTub - but during our stay the HotTub was being painted so it was out of commission. That is our only complaint the rest was nice. Would'nt mind staying there again.
Room was nicely laid out. Outstanding view of the river. Front desk personnel were great. The facility was clean as a whistle. Has a comfortable homey feel.
Breakfast food was horrible. Those omlets were not made with eggs were they? And the sausage was inedible. Stick to cold food if you can't do hot. Also we requested a king size bed and we indicated in a note that a king size bed was a requirement. Did not get one and the pull out sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Probably would not return because of these two complaints.
Excellent staff, very nice rooms, convenient to UR, nice view of river and UR campus, close to airport
This hotel works really good as a university hotel. Located opposite side of the river, it is easy to access to the university. Big and finely equipped room, friendly and helpful staff. When it turns to be the beginning of semester, you can also meet a lot of student parents in the suite.
Because the city transportation is poor, it will be a little bit hard to get out of the hotel and sightseeing the city. Not the hotel's problem. I saw they have shuttle buses ran by, but I have no idea what their schedule is.
Big room, with small corner kitchen and big fridge. Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast (not a huge choice, but quality)
Heating system had a slightly noisy fan which would turn on in the night at times and disturb my sleep for the first few days
Great services from staff, good view and location, wonderful full range of facilities for famliles who have biz to do during the stay
I don't usually bother to write reviews but just had to this once because this hotel was so fantastic. What sets this hotel apart from all the rest that I have stay at, including extremely high end like the 4 Seasons, is the relaxed family atmosphere. I could sit out on the deck overlooking the river and have friends bring a bottle of wine and enjoy, just as we would at my home. Near us was a family celebrating a birthday with cake and candles someone brought. Not having a restaurant or bar at the hotel is a great idea as it promotes this "bring your own" mentality. If there was a bar in the lobby, I am sure the staff would not let you bring your own. The staff was extremely helpful and straight forward. When I mentioned that my bed had not been made one day, the staff was very apologetic. That's all you need. No excuses, a mistake was made. I am sure it will be corrected. I will definitely stay again. Oh, the popcorn in the rooms is a good touch!
HMMM....let's see. Nothing. Oh just a warning. In this hotel there is a cut through to Plymouth Ave through the parking lot. I noticed cars taking this short cut and zipping through the parking lot right in front of the hotel entrance. I thought this could be extremely dangerous for someone walking out of the entrance and not paying attention. You might consider closing off your parking lot entrance to that small section of Plymouth Ave which goes to Elmwood.
Nice breakfast and cozy decorated lobby.
The room was dusty and the bathroom was not clean.
Excellent breakfast in the morning. Very clean hotel.
We requested a room with two separate beds at time of booking but instead got a room with a single bed and a sofabed. We called for an extra blanket but the front desk staff were unable to help. The limited housekeeping policy seems to have backfired. This was a simple and important request.
The water view was relaxing in the city but felt like country side. The facility had everything an apartment could offer. The decor was pleasing and very clean and quiet.
The front desk customer service was great. Very Helpful and friendly.
Booked what showed as a king bed on the internet only to find out when we arrived that the hotel has not king beds. Queen beds that were in rooms were small. This is where the front desk was so helpful. They put us in a handicap room where the bed was huge. Qudos to the costomer service by this person to save thier company from a black eye. It turned out to be a great stay.
lekkere grote kamer met goed bed en top ontbijt
